What is Reaction?
Reaction is a three-heat reflex test. Each heat holds you in suspense, then flashes GO, and the fastest finger wins. It is easy to explain, which makes it a good break between question rounds.
It is one of the mini-games built into Qwiz Rush (sometimes written Quiz Rush), the free live quiz you host from a browser while players join by code on their own devices.

How to play Reaction
The host launches Reaction and all devices show the waiting screen.
Hold off while the screen tells you to wait. Tapping early does not help you.
When GO appears, tap as fast as you can.
Repeat for three heats; your reaction times are recorded for each.
The room board ranks everyone by how quickly they reacted.
Host settings
- Launch it from the Mini-games drawer on the host console, between questions or on the leaderboard.
- Players join on their own devices, and the projector shows the round while it runs.
Scoring
- A faster reaction time ranks higher within each heat.
- Results across the three heats are combined into the final ranking.
Tips for Reaction
- Do not try to guess the signal. Watch the screen and respond.
- Rest your finger above the screen rather than on it.
- Twitchy thumbs lose; patient ones pounce.
Frequently asked questions

Can I play Reaction solo?

Do I need a quiz set to play Reaction?
No. It plays without a question set, so you can launch it from the host drawer at any time.
