Privacy Policy

Qwiz Rush (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the website qwizrush.com — a fast-paced, browser-based quiz platform.

Account holders (hosts). When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We store this information in Firebase to identify your account and link your question sets to you.

Guest players. Players who join a quiz without signing in are assigned an anonymous session ID. We store a display name (chosen by you) and your in-game score for the duration of the quiz session. No personally identifiable information is required or collected from guest players.

Usage data. We use Google Analytics (gtag.js) to collect anonymized usage statistics such as page views, session duration, and general geographic region. This data helps us understand how the platform is used and improve it over time. No personal data is shared with Google Analytics beyond what is described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Device fingerprinting. To prevent cheating, we generate a non-reversible device fingerprint during active quiz sessions. This fingerprint is only used for anti-cheat scoring and is not stored beyond the session.

• To prevent cheating and ensure fair gameplay.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the following service providers as necessary to operate the platform:

• Google / Firebase — authentication, database, and hosting.
• Google Analytics — anonymized usage statistics.
• Music preview provider — song preview audio for music-round questions (no personal data is sent).

We use browser local storage and IndexedDB to cache audio clips (up to 30 days) and store your theme preference. We do not use advertising cookies. Google Analytics may set its own cookies; you can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Host accounts and associated question sets are retained until the account is deleted. Guest player session data is deleted automatically at the end of a quiz session or within 7 days. You may request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Qwiz Rush is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the address below.

We implement industry-standard security measures including Firebase’s built-in authentication and database security rules. However, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of Qwiz Rush after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
