A free quiz team name generator

The best quiz team names are short, easy to shout across a noisy room, and get a laugh when they land on the big screen. A clever pun or a playful twist on a famous name is usually a winner — aim for something everyone in the group is happy to be seen under when the live leaderboard updates.

Keep it clean if there are mixed ages in the room, and pick a name that reads well at a glance on any device or a projector. When in doubt, hit generate a few times and go with the one that makes your team smile.

Once you have a name you love, put it to work in Qwiz Rush — a free, browser-based live quiz game you host from any screen. Players join with a short game code on their own device (no accounts, no installs) and race through fast 10-second rounds with multiple choice, first-letter, number and music questions, plus mini-games between rounds.

Every question runs on the same synchronized 10-second countdown, the answer is revealed right after, and a timing bonus rewards teams that answer fast and correct. It is the same game for a classroom review, a pub quiz night, team-building trivia or family game night — free to host and ready in a couple of minutes.
