What is Pattern Lock?

Pattern Lock is a memory puzzle. Tiles light up in a sequence and you tap them back in the same order. Each round adds one more tile, so the challenge keeps climbing.

It is one of the mini-games built into Qwiz Rush (sometimes written Quiz Rush), the free live quiz you host from a browser while players join by code on their own devices.

How to play Pattern Lock

  1. The host launches Pattern Lock and each device shows a grid of tiles.

  2. Watch carefully as tiles light up one by one.

  3. Tap the tiles back in the same order.

  4. If you slip, that pattern plays again so you can retry.

  5. Each successful round adds one more tile to the sequence, and the longest chain wins.

Host settings

  • Launch it from the Mini-games drawer on the host console, between questions or on the leaderboard.
  • Players join on their own devices, and the projector shows the round while it runs.

Scoring

  • Reaching longer patterns ranks you higher.
  • Players who clear the same length are separated by how quickly they got there.

Tips for Pattern Lock

  • Say the order under your breath or trace it with a finger.
  • Group tiles into small chunks of two or three.
  • Stay calm after a mistake; the pattern replays for you.
