Buzz in on the same 10‑second clock
Qwiz Rush is a free, browser-based buzzer quiz you host from any screen. When you push a question, every device gets the same synchronized 10-second countdown and becomes a buzz-in button. Players tap their answer to buzz in before the clock runs out, the answer is revealed the instant it hits zero, and the live leaderboard updates for the whole room.
Because a timing bonus rewards fast, correct answers, the quickest right buzz scores the most — capturing the tension of a physical buzzer without any buttons to buy, batteries to charge or wires to untangle.
Run a buzz‑in round in four steps
Build the round you want to buzz on
Sign in and create a question set. Draft a batch with the AI helper, then edit anything before you save — multiple choice, first-letter and numbers all buzz the same way.
Show the code on the room screen
Start the game and open the projector view on the screen the room can see. The game code stays on it, so teams can join without stopping the round.
Every device becomes a buzzer
Players open a browser, type the short code and pick a team name. No app, no accounts, and no personal data collected from players by default.
Push a question — fastest correct wins
Everyone answers on the same synchronized 10-second countdown. The answer reveals the instant it ends and the timing bonus puts the quickest correct buzz on top of the live leaderboard.
What you get instead of a buzzer set
A box of buzzers gives you one button per team. These six things are what a browser buzzer gives you instead.
Every device is a buzzer
Players join with a short game code in any browser — no app to install and no account to create. Their phone, tablet or laptop becomes the buzz-in button.
One shared 10-second clock
Every question runs a synchronized 10-second countdown, so everyone buzzes in against the same clock and the answer is revealed the instant it runs out.
Fast fingers score more
A timing bonus rewards fast, correct answers, so the quickest right buzz on the buzzer wins the most points — not just the first person to shout out.
More than one buzz type
Buzz in with multiple choice, first-letter or number answers, plus music rounds from real track previews and a word puzzle — the buzzer never gets stale.
Big screen for the room
Put the question, countdown and live leaderboard on a projector, classroom board or TV with the big-screen and Chromecast views while players buzz on their own screens.
Fair, server-checked scores
Scoring and grading are server-authoritative with built-in anti-cheat, so buzz-in times and points are judged fairly across every device in the room.
One buzzer quiz for any room
The same game works whether you are running a classroom review, a Friday pub quiz, a team-building session or a family game night. Players buzz in with multiple-choice, first-letter or number answers, plus music rounds and a word puzzle, and 3D mini-games like tug of war and hot potato break up the rounds. Build your own questions with AI generation or grab a ready-made set from Discover, then host from a laptop with the big-screen, projector or Chromecast view up for everyone to follow.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need special buzzer hardware?
No. Qwiz Rush turns any device into a buzzer — players join in a browser with a short game code and tap to buzz in, so there is nothing to buy, charge or hand out.
How does buzzing in work?
Each question runs a synchronized 10-second countdown that every device shares. Players tap their answer to buzz in before the clock hits zero, then the answer is revealed and the live leaderboard updates. A timing bonus means a faster correct buzz scores more.
Can I use it for a classroom and a pub quiz?
Yes — the same buzzer quiz works for classroom review games and for pub, trivia or team-building nights. Host from any screen, and there is no fixed cap on how many players can buzz in.
Do players need an account to buzz in?
No. Players join by code with no login required by default, and no personal data is collected from them by default. They just enter the code, pick a name and start buzzing.
