What is Snake?
Snake is the arcade classic on a picnic tray. You steer Noodle around the board to eat apples and grow longer. Golden apples tie into the quiz, so a quick answer can send you ahead of the pack.
It is one of the mini-games built into Qwiz Rush (sometimes written Quiz Rush), the free live quiz you host from a browser while players join by code on their own devices.

How to play Snake
The host launches Snake and every device shows the tray.
Steer Noodle toward the apples with your thumb.
Eat apples to grow longer and score.
When you reach a golden apple and a question is loaded, answer quickly to surge ahead.
Avoid trapping yourself in your own length as the round goes on.
Host settings
- Launch it from the Mini-games drawer on the host console, between questions or on the leaderboard.
- Players join on their own devices, and the projector shows the round while it runs.
- Questions are optional. Load a quiz set to enable the golden apple answers.
Scoring
- Each apple adds to your score as Noodle grows.
- A fast right answer after a golden apple gives you a surge on top of that.
Tips for Snake
- Keep wide turns early so you have room later.
- Hug the edges when you are long, and keep a path open.
- Decide your answer before you reach the golden apple.
