Most Clicks: a live piñata‑bashing tap game for your quiz

Most Clicks is a quick energiser that sits between quiz questions. A piñata hops around the screen on every player's device, and each tap that lands on it scores. The room plays at the same moment, so the result is decided in seconds.

It rewards aim over mashing. A tap that misses the piñata scores nothing and fumbles your stick for a beat, and halfway through the round a cactus appears as a decoy. Hosts use it to reset the room's energy before the next question.

Quick facts

Players
1 or more. Works solo or with a whole room. Every player taps on their own device.
Length
10 seconds by default; the host can set the round to anything from 1 to 10 seconds.
Solo room
Yes. One player can play it, and it is part of the hostless Free Play pool. With nobody to beat, a solo player is simply chasing their own best count.

How it works

  1. The host launches Most Clicks from the mini-game drawer and every player's device switches to the piñata screen.

  2. A bell starts the round and the piñata begins hopping to new spots.

  3. Players tap the piñata each time it lands. Every hit scores 2 points.

  4. The piñata hops faster and shrinks as the round goes on, from a hop every 750 ms at the start to every 450 ms at the end.

  5. From the halfway point a cactus hops in beside the piñata as a decoy. Tapping it jams your stick for 650 ms.

  6. When the clock runs out, totals are checked on the server and placings feed the quiz leaderboard.

Player controls

Tap or click the piñata. Only one finger counts at a time, and taps must be at least 60 ms apart, so drumming with several fingers does not help.

Host settings

  • Round length in seconds, from 1 to 10 (default 10).

Quiz questions

None. It is pure skill and does not use any question from your set.

Tips for hosts

  • Use it as a fast palate cleanser after a hard question; the default round is only 10 seconds.
  • Tell players that aiming beats mashing. A miss locks the stick for 300 ms, so wild tapping costs more than it gains.
  • Warn the room about the cactus in the second half so nobody feels tricked when it appears.

Frequently asked questions

How are Most Clicks points counted?

Each tap on the piñata is worth 2 points. A tap anywhere else scores nothing. The server checks each player's logged hits against the round length and caps impossible totals, then ranks the room by points.

What happens if I tap the wrong place?

The tap scores 0 and your stick fumbles for 300 ms, during which no tap counts. Tapping the cactus decoy jams it for 650 ms. Spraying the screen therefore loses to careful aiming.

Can I change how long Most Clicks lasts?

Yes. The host console has a Most Clicks duration setting from 1 to 10 seconds, and the default is 10 seconds. The countdown audio is timed to finish exactly at zero.
