What is Tug of War?
Tug of War is a team tapping game. Two teams grab one rope and heave together to drag it across the line. Well-timed pulls in the green pull hardest.
It is one of the mini-games built into Qwiz Rush (sometimes written Quiz Rush), the free live quiz you host from a browser while players join by code on their own devices.

How to play Tug of War
The host launches Tug of War once two or more players are connected.
Players are split into two teams, Red and Blue.
Tap HEAVE! to pull the rope towards your side.
Time your pull on the green part of the strength gauge for a perfect heave.
The team that drags the rope furthest wins the round.
Host settings
- Needs at least two connected players.
- No quiz set is required.
Scoring
- The team balance on the rope decides which side wins.
- Perfect heaves count for more than ordinary taps.
Tips for Tug of War
- Watch the gauge and aim for the green.
- Pull together with your team; timing beats raw speed.
- Do not panic when the rope slips back. Keep pulling.
