What is Imposter?

Imposter is a three-round party game. Everyone is secretly told a word except one player, who only knows the category. The room talks it out loud, then votes on who is faking.

It is one of the mini-games built into Qwiz Rush (sometimes written Quiz Rush), the free live quiz you host from a browser while players join by code on their own devices.

How to play Imposter

  1. The host launches Imposter once three or more players are connected.

  2. Everyone gets a secret role card on their own device.

  3. Crew see the category and the word. The imposter sees only the category.

  4. Say something about the word out loud, then vote for who you think is faking.

  5. The reveal shows who the imposter was, and the roles change every round.
